-Our vision is to create an unpretentious environment where the goal is to have fun together, regardless of age, sex, nationality or surfing skills. Classes are only organised in small groups(maximum 6 per instrutor), always avoiding crowded classes and we try adapted to all levels: “Surf for beginners”, “intermediate level”, “children” and “private lessons”.

We do everything possible for you to learn or improve your surf skills by adapting our classes and teaching methods to your level and water conditions each day. We only use the best materials to make sure your experience with us is perfect.

We offer excursions throughout the beautiful coast and we can arrange a surf trip for you and friends anywhere in Madeira.

Upon confirmation of the guiding, 50% of the total amount is paid, and the remainder will be paid on the first day of the service. This guarantees full payment of the service.

Customer cancellation conditions: 100% refund 30 days before the start of the activity, due to illness, death or disability with a medical prescription, or cancellation by the service provider. 50% refund due to weather conditions during the activity that do not allow for the necessary safety measures. Throughout the activity, all conditions are reassessed and adapted to each surfer.

What does a day of Surf Guiding with Orlando Pereira in Madeira look like?

In Madeira, conditions change a lot with tides, swells, and local winds. That means we don’t surf at the same time every day. Often it’s worth heading out early to avoid crowds and the wind that usually picks up later in the day. In winter, though, waiting for the sun to warm things up can be the smarter option.

The evening before each session, Orlando will let you know the exact time for the next day’s mission.

On the surf day, we can arrange a meeting point so Orlando can take you to the beach, or you can meet directly at the chosen spot. Once there, you’ll check the waves together, and Orlando will share useful insights about the spot — currents, bottom conditions, hazards, and other important details. After that, it’s all about enjoying your surf session — and of course, your guide will be surfing too!

Please note: During the surf Orlando will stay nearby, but this part of the activity is independent and at your own risk. This is not a lesson or coaching session.

Orlando always brings along backup essentials like an extra leash, repair kit, wax, water, and a changing robe.

Equipment

Didn’t bring your own gear? No problem — just let Orlando know what kind of board or wetsuit you’re looking for, and he’ll help you get set up. He works with local surf shops and can always arrange the right equipment for the conditions.

Small groups

To make sure everyone enjoys their session — in and out of the water — Orlando doesn’t bring large groups to the beach. If your group has 4 or more people, please reach out first to discuss the possibilities.

Surf level

Not sure if your level is right for guiding? Just ask Orlando — if needed, he can connect you with a local surf school for lessons before joining a guiding session. Please note: you’ll only be allowed to paddle out if you’re independent enough to surf safely on your own. Your actions in the water are always your own responsibility.

Impotant:

To rent the board, you must pay the amount online and Caution 250€ or 350€, you have the presence of the identity card, address/hotel) and telephone contact.

Any damage caused to the board will have to pay a fee.

This information will be sent to the customer at the time of rental in order to accept the rental conditions.

Payments are all made online, with daily payment for the board and the fee.
